The provisional NEET answer key 2025 objection window closed on June 5, 2025. Shiksha.com ran a poll for the readers with the question, ‘Are you submitting objections against NEET 2025 provisional answer keys?’ More than 40 per cent candidates have voted that they have submitted objections against NEET answer key.

The NEET 2025 provisional answer key and OMR response sheet objection window closed on June 5, 2025. Unlike last year, NTA did not extend the last date to submit objections. The provisional NEET answer key 2025 was released on June 3, 2025. Shiksha.com ran a poll for the readers with the question, ‘Are you submitting objections against NEET 2025 provisional answer keys?’

Over 36 per cent candidates have voted that they have submitted objections against multiple NEET 2025 questions or answer options, and 11 per cent candidates have submitted objection against a single question. On the other hand, 11 per cent candidates have submitted objections only against their OMR response sheets and seven per cent have submitted objections against NEET answer keys 2025 only.

The poll has also revealed that 35 per cent of candidates have not submitted any objections against the NEET answer key 2025 or OMR response sheets. Let us take a detailed look at the Shiksha Poll question on NEET 2025 answer key objections and result.

There were five options to the above-mentioned poll questions, which are as follows:

  • Yes, for multiple questions
  • Yes, for a single question
  • Submitting objections against answer keys only
  • Submitting objections against OMR sheet only
  • Not submitting objections

Controversial questions in NEET 2025

There was a question in the Chemistry section of NEET 2025 which had two correct options. The provisional NEET answer key 2025 also mentioned two correct answer options. Take a look at the question and correct answer options below.

(1) [Co(NH3)3Cl3]

(2) [Co(NH3)4Cl2]

(3) [Co(NH3)6]Cl3

Incidentally, the unofficial NEET 2025 answer keys by coaching institutes had also mentioned these as correct answer options.

The NTA panel of subject experts will assess the NEET answer key 2025 objections. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the responses of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Key, the result will be prepared and declared. However, no candidates will be informed about the status of the challenge submission individually, and the objection raising fee of INR 200 will also not be refunded in case it is found valid.

Q:   When did NTA release the official answer key for NEET 2025?
A:

NTA released the final answer key for NEET 2025 on June 14, 2025, before the result. The provisional NEET 2025 answer keys was released on June 3, 2025, within a month of conducting the exam. Candidates were given an opportunity to submit challenges or objections against the provisional answer keys within June 5, 2025. There will not be any opportunity to review or challenge the NEET final answer keys. The NEET 2025 result was computed based on the NEET 2025 final answer keys. 

Q:   Where can I get NEET answer key from?
A:

NEET answer keys were released on the official website of NEET, neet.nta.nic.in. For the provisional answer keys, candidates had to log in to the NEET website with their NEET 2025 application number, password and Security Code. After that, they have to download their response sheets and the provisional answer keys. The final answer keys will be available on the NTA and the NEET website, which candidates can directly download, without having to log in. Candidates and stakeholders can download the NEET 2025 final answer keys by NTA by clicking on the link and download it in PDF format.

Q:   What is the difference between NEET OMR response sheet and provisional answer keys?
A:

The NEET OMR response sheet refers to candidates' answer sheets or OMR sheets where they have marked their responses. On the other hand, the provisional answer keys refer to correct answer options according to NTA experts. The NEET OMR response sheets of candidates are scanned and uploaded on the official website of the exam which candidates can download and check for discrepancies. Candidates are also advised to note down their own responses or answer options marked to calculate their estimated scores.
