NEET MDS 2025 Exam on April 19; Check Last Minute Tips, Exam Day Guidelines

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) will conduct the National Eligibility Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) examination for the academic session 2025 on April 19. Students who are willing to get admission in the MDS programme across India will have to appear for this National-level postgraduate programme.
The examination will be conducted in computer-based test mode for 3 hours, i.e. between 2 PM to 5 PM. A total of 240 questions will be asked in the examination. The NEET MDS exam 2025 total marks awarded are 960. For each correct answer, students will get four marks while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
Moreover, the NEET MDS 2025 will be held in the English language only. The examination will be held in 56 test cities for admission to 274 participating colleges offering 6501 seats across India.
NEET MDS 2025 Exam Day Guidelines
NBE has released the exam guidelines for all candidates willing to appear in the entrance examination along with the NEET MDS 2025 admit card. Provided below is the exam day guidelines and last minute tips for students to ensure they face no discrepancy during the examination:
- No student will be allowed to enter the examination hall without the NEET MDS admit card 2025
- Candidates are advised to reach the NEET MDS exam centre atleast an hour before the exam start date to avoid last-minute hustle.
- Candidates will not be allowed to take a bio-break between registration and exam commencement time. A bio break can only be taken once the examination starts.
- Students have to take their admit card, a government-issued photo ID card. Documents in Digilocker will not be accepted.
- Using any unfair means will debar students from appearing in the entrance examination.
- Use of any electronic device, including cell phones, pagers, and calculators, is strictly prohibited inside the examination centre.
- Any stationary item, textual material, or calculator is not allowed to be taken to the examination centre.
- Students are not allowed to take eatery items to the examination centre.
- Candidates have to make arrangements to keep their belongings, as the exam centre will not be responsible for any personal belongings of any student.

NBE announced the revised exam date on February 15, 2025, through a newspaper advertisement. The application process was conducted from February 18 to March 10, 2025. Owing to the extension of the BDS internship cutoff date from March 31 to June 30, 2025, the application window was reopened from April 3 to Aprill 6, 2025. NEET MDS is a computer-based test of three hours duration, scheduled from 2 PM to 5 PM.
No, it is not possible to attempt the NEET MDS demo test in offline mode. Candidates have to take the demo test or the official mock test by visiting the exam website and clicking on the Demo Test link. Unless students have an active internet connection and a fully functional computer or laptop, they will not be able to access the NEET MDS 2025 demo test.
