NEET (UG) 2019 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year from next year. The exam will be held in February and May but the exact dates and schedule are yet to be announced. However, a tentative schedule for NEET (UG) 2019 has been released.

NEET (UG) 2019 February exam is expected to be conducted between February 3 to February 17, 2019. The online application process will tentatively commence in October and the exam results will be declared in the first week of March, 2019.

On the other hand, the application process for NEET (UG) 2019 May Exam is expected to commence in the second week of March, 2019. The exam will tentatively be held between May 12 to May 26, 2019. The results of NEET (UG) 2019 May exam will likely be declared in the first week of June 2019.

HRD minister Prakash Javadekar informed that aspirants will be allowed to appear both times in the exam and the best of the two scores would be taken in account for admission. Two chances will give a choice option to the students especially if they fail to appear in a test due to unwarranted circumstances.

Till now, NEET (UG) was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). According to the HRD Minister, Prakash Javadekar, there would be no change in NEET (UG) 2019 syllabus, neither would the exam cost more than what it did before.
