NTA NEET UG 2026

National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test 2026 on May 3, 2026. The board has released an important advisory for students appearing in the examination. As a part of NEET UG 2026 exam day guidelines, the board has started the biometric process for all students. Students have to appear for biometric verification after the mandatory security checking at the exam centre. Students have to complete this check before entering the NEET 2026 exam classroom.

NEET 2026 Exam: Exceptions for Biometric Checking

NTA has notified that no student will be debarred from the examination because of unsuccessful biometric verification. Further, no student will be disturbed during the examination period for biometric checking in case of following scenarios:

  • Device hardware failure at the centre.
  • Poor quality of the candidate's biometric data
  • Connectivity failures
  • Physical inability of the candidate to provide biometric data

In all the above mentioned cases candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall by submitting a written undertaking. Students will get the undertaking document at the examination centre. NTA has clearly mentioned that no student will be disturbed between NEET 2026 exam timing, i.e. 2 PM to 5 PM for the biometric process.Β
