NEET UG 2026

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the NEET UG 2026 notification and also opened the registration process on February 8, 2026. Students who are seeking admission to undergraduate medical programs like MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH for the 2026-27 session can now apply via the NTA NEET website. The NEET UG 2026 registration link is active at neet.nta.nic.in.Β Β 

Students who are applying for NEET 2026 exam must be mindful as the NTA has announced major changes in NEET 2026 registration process. Students must know that these changes are necessary for each student filling the application form.Β

NEET Exam 2026: What’s New This Year?

The following changes has been introduced by NTA for UG NEET exam 2026:Β 

The NTA has introduced several significant measures to strengthen the exam's integrity and prevent impersonation:

  • Mandatory Live Photo Capture: Students nowhave to capture a live photograph during the NEET 2026 application process using a webcam or mobile phone QR scan.Β 
  • Aadhaar-based eKYC: Verification through Aadhaar is mandatory during the registration process. Students have to ensure their Aadhaar details are correct.
  • Process for Selection of Exam Cities: Students from session 2026 have to select three exam cities based on the details mentioned by them in the application form.
