NEET-UG Counselling: FORDA urges MCC to announce dates soon
NEET-UG aspirants have been requesting MCC, Health Ministry to announce the counselling dates.
Thousands of NEET-UG Counselling aspirants are waiting for the announcement of dates to commence their MBBS journey, however Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is yet to announce the dates. Now, the Federation of Resident Doctors' Association (FORDA) has urged the MCC to announce the dates at the earliest.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), NEET-UG, aspirants have been requesting MCC, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and also the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to announce the counselling dates.
βAlready I think 2022 NEET-UG aren't going to commence from Feb 1. No idea..when Counseling will be started & Batch will start... Thousands of Students are waiting for their new journey,β wrote one of the NEET-UG aspirants.
FORDA has written a letter to the MCC, Regarding the grievance of thousands of aspirants to take necessary measures for commencement of NEET-UG Counselling 2021 at the earliest.
The letter states: βWe would like to thank you for declaration of the NEET-PG Counselling schedule soon after pronouncement of judgment by the Supreme Court on January 07, 2022, & the Counselling process is set to begin today.
The doctors association through their letter have tried to draw MCCβs attention towards the plight of thousands of Medical aspirants across the nation who had appeared and cleared the NEET-UG Entrance Examination and are eagerly waiting for the commencement of NEET-UG Counselling 2021.
Similar to Broad Specialty Courses, there has been no admission of Under-Graduate students in the current Academic Year owing to postponement of the Counselling.
Though it was notified that along with NEET-PG Counselling, NEET-UG Counselling will also commence soon. However, there has been no further update in this regard yet. This has led to a lot of anxiety and confusion among the aspirants.
βWe would hereby request you to kindly take note of the grievance of Medical aspirants of the nation & take necessary measures for commencement of NEET-UG Counselling at the earliest,β the FORDA letter reads.
