The Odisha NEET 2024 counselling Round 3 institute reporting process has been extended till October 30, 2024, on account of Cyclone Dana. Candidates who have been freshly allotted seats in the upgradation round will have to report to OJEE Cell on October 28, 2024, from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Odisha NEET 2024 Counselling Round 3 Institute Reporting Extended

The Odisha NEET 2024 counselling Round 3 institute reporting process has been extended till October 30, 2024, on account of Cyclone Dana. On the other hand, candidates who have been freshly allotted seats in the upgradation round will have to report to OJEE Cell Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar, on October 28, 2024, from 10 AM to 4 PM.

According to the OJEE Committee, in case a candidate does not report to institutes, their allotment will be cancelled and the vacant seat will be considered for the stray vacancy round counselling.

As many as 1,838 candidates have reported for the Odisha NEET 2024 counselling Round 3. OJEE has released the list of candidates who have been allotted seats and reported to the respective institutes. The document includes the following information:

  • Category and Sub Category
  • Institute
  • Course
  • Allotted Category
  • Status

As per the Round 3 result of Odisha NEET 2024 Counselling, 1,849 candidates were allotted seats. Originally, the institute reporting process was conducted from October 21 to October 22, 2024.

The dates for Stray Vacancy round counselling will be notified in due course of time.

Q:   What is the current scenario of the Odisha NEET counselling?
A:

The second round of the Odisha NEET 2025 counselling process is being conducted from September 10 to September 26, 2025. The Odisha NEET UG 2025 counselling Round 2 result was declared on September 19, 2025, but was withdrawn. The final result will be declared on September 20, 2025, at 10 PM. The institute reporting will be conducted from September 23 to September 26, 2025.

Q:   Is there any reservation for OBC candidates in Odisha NEET counselling?
A:

No, there will not be an OBC category reservation in Odisha NEET 2025 counselling. Such candidates will be considered as open category students for admission purposes. This means, such candidates must secure the NEET qualifying cutoff for the General or Open category candidates as stated by the National Testing Agency (NTA) during the NEET 2025 result declaration. The other eligibility criteria stated by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) counselling committee is also the same as that applicable for the General category candidates. OBC category candidates are not allowed to claim any special reservation during the seat allotment process. At the same time, such candidates need not furnish any specific documents pertaining to OBC category.
