As per reports, Ukraine returned medical students are now feeling dejected and now few of them even returned to Ukraine amid the ongoing war.

Despite several requests from state governments, the Central government is not ready to accommodate Ukraine's returned medical students to Indian medical colleges as a one-time measure, now the students are also feeling hopeless and some of them have started returning back to Ukraine as many universities there have started the offline examinations.

While the war is still going on between Russia and Ukraine and the returning Indian students are getting warnings from classmates and professors that "come at your own risk and be prepared for air raid sirens twice a day, and expect food prices to be inflated," the students are left with no choice but to return, as reported by The Print.

As many as 20,000 Indian students had returned to India when the war began and some of them have already returned and others are getting ready for the return to Ukraine. The first batch of Assamese students has returned to Ukraine as the new academic session began in the first week of October. Most senior students are returning who need to join practical classes in hospitals in Ukraine.

"Students in western Ukraine cities seem to be convinced that they should join regular classes now. I am among the first batch of Assamese students to return to Ukraine and probably the only one from Assam to arrive at the university, before classes started on October 1. Many others are likely to return here because there is no other practical solution to save our careers," Nikita told TOI.
