MIT Placement 2021: Microsoft recruits 35 students with 44 lakh salary package

A total of 292 students secured placement and internship offers with an average package of ₹18.2 lakhs per annum.

MIT Placements 2021: Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal recruitment drive witnessed the placement of 35 students in Microsoft with an annual salary package of 44 lakhs. An official statement released by Manipal Academy of Higher Education said, “This is the highest number of offers made by Microsoft at MIT, Manipal.”Amid the ongoing pandemic situation, the institute is conducting online placements for the students of the academic year 2021-22.

Apart from Microsoft, the industry’s top names such as Cloudera,  Adobe, Amazon, Bajaj Finserv, BlackRock, Chargebee, Cisco Systems, Citrix R&D, Cohesity, Commvault, Deutsche India Pvt. Ltd., Fidelity Investment, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Hevodata, HPE, JP Morgan, Komprise, Nvidia, Oracle, Sabre Travels, SAP Labs, Tejas Networks, UBS Business, VM Ware, Wells Fargo, Western Digital participated in MIT placements 2021 virtually. The MAHE statement informed that a total of 292 students secured placement and internship offers with an average package of ₹18.2 lakhs per annum. Congratulating the students, Anil Rana, director, MIT, Manipal assured that the institute will always provide support to all its students to pursue excellence.

Recently, a fee waiver scheme was also launched by MAHE for all students who their parents during the time period of their programme. The scholarship scheme, Ramdas M Pai Scholarship, was introduced on the birthday of MAHE’s Chancellor, Ramdas M Pai.

Earlier, the institute also launched a scholarship scheme for students who had lost a parent due to COVID-19, however, now it has been extended to all undergraduate and postgraduate students who have lost a bread earner due to any mishap while they’re studying in any college, university linked to MAHE.

The official statement quoted MD Venkatesh, Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, “Our new scholarship will come into effect from today, on the birthday of Dr Ramdas Pai, Chancellor of Manipal University. We believe, COVID-19 may be short-lived but we want to extend this benefit to students for eternity as we go forward. The students who have lost their sole earning parent due to COVID-19 or any other mishap will be supported through a complete fee waiver.”
