CSIR UGC NET 2020 exam deferred; new dates to be announced by April 2021
CSIR UGC NET 2020 exam has been deferred by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). New exam dates will be announced soon in the next five weeks.
Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has postponed the CSIR UGC NET 2020 exam due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The information was shared through a tweet by the Human Resource Development Group (HRDG) of the CSIR. As per the CSIR HRDG’s Twitter post, the new CSIR NET exam dates will be announced within the next five weeks. Going by this, it is likely that the dates will be out by the third week of April 2021.
The tweet mentions ‘CSIR UGC NET 2020’, which makes it clear that the December 2020 edition has been postponed as the CSIR NET 2020 June result has already been declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Have a look at the statement below:

The CSIR HRDG also announced that the certificates of candidates who have qualified for the CSIR UGC NET June 2020 exam will also be released in the next five weeks or by April 2021 end.
The CSIR NET 2020 result and cut off were announced earlier on February 5, 2021. The exam was conducted on November 19, November 21, November 26 and November 30, 2021, for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/Assistant Professor.
