Meghalaya TET certificate now valid for lifetime, check details here
Meghalaya TET certificate is now valid for lifetime, as state education minister Lahkmen Rymbui.
Meghalaya education minister Lahkmen Rymbui on July 20, 2021, announced the extension of Meghalaya TET (MTET) certificate validity to lifetime. The announcement came following the decision of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) of extending the validity of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) certificate to lifetime.
Earlier, the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) certificate validity was of two years.
How is the MTET Certificate validity extension beneficial?
The extension of MTET certificate validity will be beneficial for candidates who have qualified the MTET exam earlier and the validity of their eligibility certificate had expired. Such candidates will not be required to appear again for the MTET exam in their lifetime to teach in Meghalaya schools.
MTET 2021 exam updates
The MTET 2021 notification and application form is likely to release soon. Earlier, the Meghalaya TET application 2021 was set to begin on June 10. However, the process was postponed by the Directorate of Educational Research & Training (DERT).
