NRA CET to be conducted from early 2022; check details here
Union Minister, Jitendra Singh has said that NRA CET will be conducted from early 2022. Earlier, the first exam of NRA CET was scheduled to be conducted in September, however, it got delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
He said that this unique initiative undertaken with the personal intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to screen and shortlist candidates for recruitment to Central Government jobs was scheduled to take off with the first test before the end of this year, but is likely to get delayed on account of COVID pandemic.

The Union Minister further informed that the National Recruitment Agency for conducting Common Eligibility Test has been constituted with the approval of the Union Cabinet. NRA will conduct CET to screen/shortlist candidates for jobs in government sector for which recruitment is currently carried out through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) and Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).
NRA will be a multi-agency body that will conduct the common test to screen candidates for Group-B and C (non-technical) posts. Every district in the country will have at least one exam centre which will help candidates living in remote areas. This will come as a huge benefit for women, Divyang and those who cannot afford to appear for multiple tests by travelling to multiple centres, the Minister added.
