REET 2021 Postponed Again, No Exam on June 20
REET 2021 exam that was to be held on June 20, has been postponed again amid the grim COVID-19 situation.
REET 2021 is going to be postponed again; the exam was scheduled to be held on June 20. As per various media reports, the exam has been postponed keeping in mind the prevailing deadly COVID-19 second wave. However, Rajasthan Education Department hasn’t released any official notification yet regarding the postponement of REET 2021.
Rajasthan Education minister, Govind Singh Dotasra stated that the REET 2021 is likely to be postponed again. He also said, with the increase in the number of COVID-19 infections, it will be difficult to organize the exam. He further adds that State’s priority is citizens’ health and well-being hence the exam is being postponed till further notice.
This is for the fifth time REET exam has been postponed in the past 1 and a half year. REET exam was to be held last year on August 02, 22020. Then the exam was postponed to September 02, 2020 due to first outbreak of the virus. The exam was further extended and scheduled for February 2021, however, the education department didn’t notify any firm date for the exam.
Later on, REET exam was scheduled to be held on April 25, 2021. The exam was postponed as the day was clashing with Mahavir Jayanti and was deferred to June 20, 2021. This time, REET has been postponed due to the second wave of COVID-19. The new date will be announced once the situation returns to normalcy.
