To qualify RRB NTPC exam, candidates need to secure the minimum qualifying marks in each stage of recruitment. Check here the category-wise qualifying marks. 

RRB NTPC

RRB NTPC 2020 exam is conducted for Non Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Graduate & Undergraduate Posts. A total of 35,208 vacancies were announced for the recruitment exam. Along with the notification, the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) had announced the minimum qualifying marks. To qualify the exam, candidates need to secure the minimum qualifying marks. The minimum qualifying marks has been decided as per the category for first stage CBT, second stage CBT and Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT).

Besides, the minimum qualifying marks, the Railways will also fix category-wise and post-wise RRB NTPC cutoff marks. Candidates need to secure both the minimum qualifying marks as well as the cutoff marks.

Minimum qualifying marks for various stages

The minimum qualifying marks for various stages of RRB NTPC are given below.

First stage CBT

The minimum qualifying marks for this stage is 40% for UR and EWS and 30% for OBC and SC and 25% for ST. These percentages are relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates. The first stage CBT is qualifying in nature. Candidates will be shortlisted as per their merit. Total number of candidates to be shortlisted for the second stage is 20 times the community-wise number of vacancies.

Second stage CBT

The qualifying marks for this stage are 40% for UR and EWS, 30% for OBC and SC and 25% for ST. The minimum qualifying marks is 2% for PwBD candidates.

Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

The exam is conducted for candidates who have opted for Traffic Assistant and Station Master. Candidates need to secure a score of 42 in each of the test batteries to qualify. Candidates equal to 8 times the number of vacancies of Station Master (SM)/Traffic Assistant (TA) will be selected for this stage based on their performance in second stage.
