Overview

RRB NTPC Cutoff 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) releases the RRB NTPC Cut off 2026 on the official websites. It will be released along with the RRB NTPC result separately for both Graduate and Undergraduate posts for both CBT 1 and CBT 2 examinations. Those candidates who will score more than the cut off marks will be considered as qualified to appear for the document verification. The RRB NTPC Cut off depends upon several factors including the number of vacancies, level of difficulty of the exam, category-wise details, etc.

RRB NTPC 2026 Final Result, Scorecard & Cut Off Out (CEN No. 05/2024)

The authority officially released the RRB NTPC 2026 Final Result for CEN No. 05/2024 on the official and regional websites of RRB. Along with the result Cut off and scorecard also released. The result consists of the list of the shortlisted candidates for document verification and Medical examination for 8113 graduate-level vacancies. Total candidates appeared for CBAT were 13,616 and total candidates appeared for CBTST were 30,341. The scorecard is available from May 7 to May 22.  A direct link to download their scorecard is provided below.

The RRB NTPC UG cut off for CEN No. 06/2024 was released on January 23. The CBT 2 RRB NTPC UG exam was conducted on December 20. Railway NTPC cut off is calculated based on the normalisation. Read below for more details on the cut off of RRB NTPC.

Stages of Railway NTPC Cut off 

The cut off is released in the following stages.

RRB NTPC CBT 1 Cutoff

RRB NTPC Stage 1 cutoff is calculated based on the 100 marks. This stage is qualifying in nature and the marks secured in this stage are not counted for final merit list. Based on the Railway NTPC CBT 1 cut off, candidates are selected for CBT 2 exam.

RRB NTPC CBT 2 Cutoff

RRB NTPC Stage 2 cutoff is calculated out of 120 marks. The marks obtained in this stage are taken into consideration for the final merit list. Based on RRB NTPC CBT 2 cut off, candidates are selected for CBAT/Typing Test.

RRB NTPC CBAT Cut off

To qualify this stage, candidates require a minimum T-score of 42. Candidates need to score 70 per cent in CBT 2 and 30 per cent marks in CBAT inorder to be called for document verification. 

RRB NTPC Typing Skill Test

Candidates need to secure the required cut off marks in the skill test. This is qualifying in nature. Candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Computer. Candidates are not allowed to use editing tools and spell-check facilities. Candidates are required to type at least 300 words in English or 250 words in Hindi. The exam session consists of three parts-Typing practice for one minute to warm up & familiarize with key board, Break of 30 seconds and Typing Test for 10 minutes which will be taken for evaluation. Candidates will have to type in English or Hindi, as per the option exercised by them. English will be the Typing Language for those who have not exercised their option. Candidates who have opted Hindi for Typing Test must be familiar with the usage of Krutidev or Mangal font. The duration of the test is 10 minutes.

RRB NTPC Final Cut off

RRB NTPC final cut off is calculated based on CBT 2 exam, subject to candidates qualifying the CBAT/Typing Skill Test. Based on the final cut off, candidates are selected for appointment.

A: 

RRB NTPC cut off is calculated based on the normalised scores. This process is followed to adjust the difficulty level of questions since the exam is conducted in multiple sessions. The scores are normalised using the equi-percentile method. For eg: If the negative marking is 1/3 and candidates have answered 80 questions, out of which 12 were wrong, then the raw score will be 80-12-12 * (1/3) = 64. Therefore, 64 is the raw score.
