UGC NET & CSIR NET Eligibility: Deadline extended for Master’s Degree completion for Dec 2018, June 2019 NET

UGC NET and CSIR NET eligibility relaxed for December 2018 and June 2019 batch qualified candidates. The deadline has been extended for the completion of Master’s Degree.

University Grant Commission (UGC) has extended the deadline for completion of Master’s Degree for candidates who qualified the December 2018 and June 2019 UGC NET or CSIR NET exams. Candidates, who qualified the December 2018 or June 2019 National Eligibility Test (NET) for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or for Eligibility for Lectureship/ Assistant Professor but have not been able to complete their Master's program due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be given an extension to complete their Master’s degree or equivalent course.

As per the UGC NET or CSIR NET eligibility conditions, candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or equivalent course or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s degree exam and their result is awaited or candidates whose qualifying exams have been delayed can also apply for the UGC NET or CSIR UGC NET exams.

Such candidates are admitted provisionally and are awarded the JRF or eligibility as Assistant Professor only after they pass their Master’s degree or equivalent exam with the requisite percentage of marks as per the eligibility conditions of the NET exam within two years from the date of the NET result.
