CSIR NET Exam Date 2025 OUT: Check Application Release Date for Dec Session

CSIR NET Date 2025: The authority released the CSIR NET 2025 December session notification and application form at csirnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can apply for the December session from September 25 to October 24, 2025. The application fee payment last date is October 25. The application correction dates are October 27 to 29, 2025. The NTA CSIR NET 2025 December session will be conducted on December 18, 2025.
The Notification for the June session was out on June 3, 2025. The last date to apply was June 26. The CSIR Exam Date highlights the important events related to the CSIR NET Dec exam 2025 including the release of the application form, release of admit card, conduct of the exam, declaration of result, etc.
The exam will be conducted by the NTA to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor in the universities and colleges of India. Generally, NTA CSIR UGC NET is conducted twice a year in June and December. The examination is held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

CSIR NET Eligibility 2025
The basic CSIR UGC NET eligibility criteria that candidates must fulfil are mentioned below:
Educational Qualification 2025
- Candidates should have obtained a degree in BTech/BE/BPharma/MBBS/BS (four years)/Integrated BS-MS/MSc with a minimum of 55 per cent marks for General (UR)/General-EWS and OBC (50 per cent for SC/ST, Third gender and PwD)
Age Limit 2025
- To apply for CSIR NET JRF, candidates should be a maximum of 28 years of age. The upper age limit is relaxable for up to 5 years for SC/ST/Third gender/PwD/Females and up to 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
- There is no upper age limit to apply for the post of Lectureship (LS)/ Assistant Professor

CSIR NET Admit Card 2025

Candidates will be able to download the CSIR NET UGC admit card from the official website. The admit card contains the various details of the examination like the examination centre, exam date, time of examination, etc. Candidates can download the admit card by following the steps below.
- Step 1: Visit the official website https://csirnet.nta.nic.in/
- Step 2: Click on the CSIR-UGC NET Admit Card 2025 link on the homepage of the website
- Step 3: A new webpage will open. Candidates should enter the required details to download the admit card
- Step 4: If everything is done perfectly, the candidate’s admit card will be displayed on the screen

No. The syllabus of CSIR NET is the same for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) and Lectureship (Assistant Professor). The difference that lies is only in the cut-off marks and not in the syllabus.
