Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), Assistant Prosecution Officer Mains Examination-2018 and State Level Engineering Service exam has been postponed amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis in the country.

Those candidates who have appeared for the respective exams can check the official short notification regarding the postponement of exam on the official website of UPPSC - uppsc.up.nic.in.

As per the official notification, the Assistant Prosecution Officer Mains Examination - 2018 which was scheduled to be held on May 16, 2020 and the State Level Engineering Service Exam which was scheduled to be held on June 7, 2020, has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

UPPSC Recruitment exam 2018: How to check the notification

  • Step 1: Go to the official website i.e. uppsc.up.nic.in.
  • Step 2: Click on the Important Alerts section available on the Home Page.
  • Step 3: Click on the link "NOTICE REGARDING ADVT. NO. A-5/E-1/2018, ASSISTANT PROSECUTION OFFICER" given on the Home Page.
  • Step 4: A short notification will come on the window.
  • Step 5: Download the notification and save the same for future reference.

The move comes after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had declared that there will be no public gathering in the state until June 30, 2020. It is also expected that the UPPSC PCS 2020 prelims exam which was scheduled to be conducted on June 21 will also be postponed.

The exams are expected to be postponed as there are 58 UPPSC exam centres in the state and candidates to reach these centres might hamper social distancing guidelines issued by the government.
