UPSC opened IAS 2020 exam centre change facility online. Read below to change the IAS exam centre.

Union Public Service Commission has opened the online facility to change the IAS 2020 exam centres for the IAS prelims 2020 exam. The IAS 2020 prelims exam will be conducted on October 4. The candidates filled their IAS applications in February when there was no impact of coronavirus in India. Majority of candidates filled the exam centre where they were doing the IAS preparation along with coaching.

But now the things have been changed, the IAS exam aspirants are back to their homes and preparing with the help of online contents. Majority of these candidates requested the UPSC to change their exam centres and the UPSC acted upon such requests. The UPSC window to change the IAS exam centre will remain active till July 13 (1800 hrs).

How to change the IAS 2020 Exam Centre?

  • Select the option of changing the Civil Services Preliminary 2020 exam centre
  • Click on the link given for changing the UPSC IAS 2020 prelims exam
  • Go to the official website of UPSC – upsconline.nic.in
  • The instruction page will open for the IAS 2020 exam centre change
  • Read and understand the instructions and press the yes button to continue
  • Enter your registration id and the random image shown on the screen and press continue
  • The window will appear asking for changing the IAS exam centre, select the yes option from the drop list.
  • Follow the instruction as given on screen and change IAS 2020 exam centre

The UPSC has protected the IAS 2020 exam centre change facility with two OneTime Password (OTP). The candidates need to be ready with the mobile number and the email id as provided at the time of IAS application 2020 to get the OTPs and reproduce them at the demanded place.

The UPSC will again open this facility to change the IAS 2020 exam centre from July 20 to 23. The candidates should see that the IAS exam centres are being allotted based on β€œfirst apply first allot basis”. So the candidates need to change their exam centres as soon as possible so they can get the exam centre of their choice for the IAS exam 2020.
