UPSC CMS 2026 Exam On August 2: Registration Open Till March 31

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is currently accepting applications for UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) 2026. To apply to these openings, candidates can go to the official websites - upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in and register latest by March 31, 2026.
CMS 2026 exam is all set to be held on August 2, 2026. A total of 1,358 vacancies are available for recruitment. The exam will be held in 48 cities across India.
The written examinations include two objective type papers, followed by a personality test/interview and document verification. The final merit list will be based on the exam and the interview. The application fee is INR 200 for all candidates except those who comes under the Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), SC/ST categories and female candidates.
Eligibility Criteria for UPSC CMS 2026 Exam
Following are eligibility criteria:
- Candidates should be citizen of India, or subjects of Bhutan/Nepal, or Tibetan refugees (who settled in India before Jan 1, 1962), or Indian origin migrants from specified countries.
- They must have passed the written and practical parts of the final MBBS examination.
- The upper age limit is 32 years.
- Age relaxation of up to five years is applicable for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Ex-servicemen.
- For Other Backward Classes (OBC) and defence services personnel, up to three years of relaxation is applicable.

The documents needed are - passport-size photograph, educational certificates including proof of passing MBBS, signature, identity proof and category certificate.
