Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the Engineering Service Exam (IES) final result on October 25, 2019.  The Engineering Services Exam Result 2019 was declared in the pdf. A total of 494 candidates were recommended for the Engineering services. The IES result was declared discipline –wise and category-wise. The Engineering Services Result 2019 mentions that 494 candidates were recommended against the notified vacancies 553.

In the UPSC IES result 2019, the result of 27 Civil Engineering candidates, 9 Mechanical Engineering candidates, 13 Electrical Engineering candidates and 17 Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering candidates were admitted provisionally.  Their result will be valid for 3 months from the date of publishing of result that is till January 25, 2020. UPSC needs to verify their original documents and these candidates need to submit the original documents to UPSC. No appointment letter will be issued to these candidates until they furnish all the required documents to UPSC.

In addition to the final result, UPSC has also provided information related to the reserved list for the IES Exam 2019. The reserve list have 114 candidates but their names will be disclosed later.

The Engineering Services 2019 personlaity test was conducted in September-October 2019. The personality test is of 200 marks.

The Engineering Services 2019 Main exam was conducted on June 30, 2019 at 24 centres across the nation.The Engineering Services Main Exam consist of two conventional subjecitve type question papers of 300 marks each. The candidates who clear the Engineering Services Main Exam are called for the Personlaity test.

The Engineering service 2019 Preliminary exam was conducted on January 6, 2019. It is very important because the marks Engineering Services Preliminary Exam is taken into consideration in deciding the final merit list. The Preliminary Exam consist of two papers. Each category ogf candidates needs to appear in the General Studies and Engineering Aptitude of 200 marks and the catgeory specific paper of 300 marks.

The UPSC conducts the Engineering Services Exam for the recruitment of engineers for various departments of the Union Government. The exam is conducted for four categories namely

  1. Civil Engineering
  2. Mechanical Engineering
  3. Electrical Engineering
  4. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering         

The Engineering Services Examination notification 2019 was issued on June 2019 for 581 vacancies. But interestingly, the IES result is declared for 494 candidates only and in addition to that, the number of vacancies was also reduced to 553 in the Engineering Services Exam 2019. The IES notification was issued on September 26, 2018, and the final result was declared on October 25, 2019.The candidates who are recommended in the Engineering Services Exam joint the service on the post of Executive Engineers.
