The UPSC EPFO 2020 recruitment exam for Enforcement Officer/Accounting Officer stands deferred. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a notice saying that the EPFO 2020 exam scheduled to be conducted on October 4, 2020 stands deferred. The EPFO 2020 exam is postponed because the IAS Prelims 2020 exam will now be conducted on October 4, 2020.

The UPSC EPFO 2020 exam will now be conducted on the future date, not yet informed. The first stage of the EPFO exam 2020 will be a pen and paper-based exam recruitment test conducted by UPSC at various designated examination centres across the nation.

The EPFO exam will comprise one objective type question paper followed by the interview. The details can be understood by the following table.

There is a minimum qualifying mark defined by the UPSC for each category of the candidates. Besides the qualifying marks, there will be the cut-off which decides the actual number of candidates qualifying for the EPFO interview process. EPFO 2020 Syllabus

The EPFO 2020 syllabus is not very well defined in the UPSC EPFO 2020 notification. The candidates need to explore every topic. The topics given in the UPSC EPFO syllabus are given below.

The syllabus of the Test broadly comprises the following topics:-

  • General English- To evaluate a candidate’s understanding of English language & workmanlike use of words.
  • Indian Freedom Struggle.
  • Current Events and Developmental Issues.
  • Indian Polity & Economy.
  • General Accounting Principles.
  • Industrial Relations & Labour Laws.
  • General Science & knowledge of Computer applications.
  • General Mental Ability & Quantitative Aptitude.
  • Social Security in India.

The candidates should refer to the IAS Syllabus to understand the real depth and subtopics for every given topic.

The Enforcement Officer/Accounting Officer in the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is a reputed job and the candidates prepare for this exam meticulously. The UPSC had issued the EPFO 2020 notification on January 13.

The number of vacancies notified in the UPSC EPFO 2020 notification was four hundred and twenty-one. This number is a large number compared to vacancies notified in the past and hence the candidates were preparing for the exam with full throttle.
