UPSC 2021 revised (new) exam calendar will be released soon. In light of the present decision to postpone the IAS Prelims 2021, the UPSC will be considering releasing the revised exam calendar for the rest of the year.
The UPSC 2021 new exam calendar will be released soon. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had released the revised UPSC exam schedule 2021 in August last year. This year also, UPSC has postponed the Civil Service Exam 2021. The IAS Prelims will now be conducted on October 10 instead of June 27 because of the increase in COVID-19 cases across the country.

UPSC, for direct recruitments, conducts 10 civil exams and four defence exams. Besides that, it also conducts many departmental exams` depending on the requisition received from various central ministries. The COVID-19 cases are rising across the nation under the second wave, considering that the UPSC has postponed the IAS 2021 prelims exam. It implies that the IAS main exam will also be postponed and the new dates will be released later.
The UPSC will release the revised annual exam calendar for the remaining year and the exam calendar for the next year to accommodate all the exams. The UPSC has already postponed the UPSC CMS 2021 exam notification and the UPSC EPFO Enforcement/Account Officer exam scheduled for May 9. The IAS main exam was scheduled for September, which will also be postponed. Last year also, UPSC released the revised exam calendar on August 17.

*IAS main exam 2021 will be postponed because as per the new announcement, IAS prelims will be conducted on October 10.
The candidates should prepare for tough competition with more study area to cover because the current affairs topics also increase as the exam delays. The UPSC has a definite timeline for each exam and various exam process depends on the confirmation from the state government functionaries. It would be very difficult to conduct the exams under these circumstances. The decision of releasing the revised exam calendar rest with UPSC and it would be released, eventually.
