UPSC will soon release the Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2021 Admit Card for the prelims exam. IAS admit card is the official entry pass to the examination hall. The candidates need to bring the photo identity proof issued by the government authorities. Last year the IAS Admit Card for prelims exam was released on September 1 thus it is expected that the IAS 2021 admit card will be released soon.
How to download IAS Admit Card 2021?
The candidates can download the IAS 2021 Admit Card in the manner given below.
- Visit the official website of UPSC (http://www.upsc.gov.in/).
- Click on the Admit Card link available on the Home page of the website.
- Read the instructions given on the page and click on the Yes button.
- Select any of the given two options – By Registration ID or By Roll Number.
- Enter registration ID and date of birth (if ‘By Registration ID’ is selected) or roll number and date of birth (if ‘By Roll Number’ is selected).
- Click on the Submit button.
- Download the IAS admit card

IAS Prelims 2021 will be an objective type exam conducted offline in pen and paper mode. The candidates need to mark their answers on the OMR answer sheet provided at the examination hall. There are two objective type papers in the exam. The structure of the exam is as follows:

General Studies Paper-II is qualifying only. The candidates need to score 33 per cent in this paper. The General Studies Paper-II is known as Aptitude paper as it asks the Numerical Ability and Analytical Ability questions.

IAS Prelims is a screening exam. The marks secured in the IAS prelims exam are not considered for the final merit list. IAS Prelims is the first of the three stages of the IAS Selection Process. It is the toughest stage because of the competition and the difficulty level of the IAS question paper.
In April, there was a rise in the COVID-19 infection cases across the nation and the prevailing conditions compelled the UPSC to postpone the IAS Prelims 2021 scheduled to be conducted on June 10. UPSC rescheduled the IAS 2021 Prelims exam to October 10 on May 13.
