UPSC Introduces Face Authentication for Candidate Verification

UPSC Recruitment: Union Public Service Commission has introduced Face Authentication for candidate verification during its exams. This new initiative will help in using modern technology to ensure fairness, transparency and security. To ensure that only genuine candidates appear for UPSC exam, face authentication has been made important. This will eliminate impersonation and other malpractices by verifying candidate identity through biometric facial recognition at exam centre.
Under this system, candidates appearing for UPSC exam will undergo facial verification at centre. Their live facial image will be matched with photograph submitted during application period. This authentication will be held alongside existing verification methods such as admit card checks and identity proof verification.

Candidates must make sure that photographs uploaded in their application form is clear and matches their appearance. There will be many advantages after introduction of face authentication

Following the latest notice by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the conducting body for CDS examination. The examination form for CDS 1 was out on December 20, 2023 and will remain out till January 9, 2024. Followed by the examination on April 21 ,2024. CDS 2 examination will be conducted on September 1, 2024.

NDA 2024 exam dates have been announced by UPSC. NDA 1 2024 exam was conducted on April 21, 2024. NDA 2 2024 exam was conducted on September 1, 2024. NDA 1 2024 exam was conducted to select candidates for January 2025 session and NDA 2 2024 exam was conducted for admission to the courses beginning at NDA & NA in July 2025. NDA exam comprises two papers-Maths and GAT. The total marks allotted to the written exam are 900. The SSB interview carries 900 marks. Candidates qualifying the written exam of NDA are called for SSB interview. Candidates are required to secure 25 per cent in each subject to qualify the exam. The final selection of candidates is done based on the performance in the written exam and SSB interview.
