UPSC IAS Main 2020 admit card will be released soon. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is in the process to release the Civil Services main exam 2020 admit card because UPSC is releasing everything before time after the global coronavirus pandemic. The IAS prelims admit card was released one month before the exam date. The IAS prelims result was declared within twenty days from the exam.

The IAS main 2020 exam is scheduled to be conducted from January 8, 2021. IAS main exam is a descriptive exam and all the papers are conducted in a pen and paper mode. The IAS main exam as the name suggest is crucial for the whole exam process. IAS prelims exam is a screening exam only and the marks secured in the IAS Prelims exam are not considered for the final selection.
IAS Main exam consists of two stages. IAS main written exam and the IAS interview. The marks secured in the IAS 2020 main exam and interview are added to form the final merit. The UPSC Result is released based on the marks of the IAS main exam.

The IAS main exam has the following exam pattern, where the candidates need to score minimum qualifying marks in all the question papers. The IAS main exam comprises nine essay type papers. There are two language papers which are qualifying in nature and their marks are not considered for the final merit. The candidates essentially need to qualify the language papers. The answer sheets of other subjects are evaluated only after the candidates clear the language papers.

The IAS main result is declared within two months of the exam. The qualified candidates are called for the IAS interview at the UPSC office in New Delhi. The IAS interview continues for twenty to thirty days and UPSC result is declared within fourteen days of completion of IAS interviews.
