Madhya Pradesh makes CUET mandatory for PG admissions. CUET-PG 2026 applications close on January 20. Check revised dates, admission rules and details.
Postgraduate students planning to study in Madhya Pradesh will now have to clear Common University Entrance Test (CUET), with state making exam compulsory for PG admissions in various universities and colleges.
With this decision students need to ensure they have applied for CUET-PG 2026, as application window closes on January 20.
CUET-PG 2026: One Day Left to Apply
National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended CUET-PG 2026 registration deadline, giving candidates time till January 20, 2026 (11:50 pm) to complete online application and fee payment process at exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg.
Only applications with successful fee payment will be treated as complete. Forms submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Correction window for CUET-PG 2026 applications will open from January 23 to January 25, during which candidates can edit permitted fields in their forms.
Madhya Pradesh Brings PG Admissions Under CUET Framework
As per new admission framework, all postgraduate admissions in Madhya Pradesh, including those in government and private universities, will be conducted based on CUET-PG scores.
The move brings an end to institution-level merit lists and direct admissions for PG courses in the state. Candidates will also be required to seek admission in postgraduate programmes linked to their undergraduate subject background, in line with the admission rules.
What This Means for PG Aspirants
With CUET now becoming the single gateway for PG admissions in Madhya Pradesh, students who have not yet applied for CUET-PG 2026 have limited time left.
Applicants are advised to complete the registration process at the earliest, review all details carefully before final submission and retain the confirmation page for future reference.
