GGSIPU has started Special Counselling for B.Ed, BBA, BCA, BA-JMC from Today

Delhi based Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has started a special round of offline counselling from today, August 27, to fill vacant seats in its undergraduate (UG) courses. The process, announced through a notification on August 25, aims to accommodate eligible students who were unable to secure admission in earlier rounds.

The special counselling will be held for the following five programmes:

B.Ed.

B.Ed. (Special Education)

BA in Journalism and Mass Communication (BA-JMC)

Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

As per the university, only candidates who have not been admitted in any of the previous rounds will be allowed to participate. Students who have already secured seats under the management quota, or those who had deposited partial fees earlier, are not eligible. The university has clarified that no adjustment of previously deposited partial fees will be made in this special round.

Applicants appearing for the counselling are required to carry a bank draft of ₹96,000 in favour of the Registrar, GGSIPU, along with all necessary academic and personal documents. For allotment of seats, merit will be determined in the order of national-level test scores, followed by the university’s own entrance tests (NLT or CET), and then CUET scores. The CUET-based merit list has already been uploaded on the official admission portal.

For detailed counselling schedules, including reporting times and venues, students can check the official website ipu.ac.in and ipu.admissions.nic.in, and candidates have been advised to carefully review the guidelines before reporting.
