The Higher and Technical Education Department of the state announced that colleges are required to start offering AEDP programs in the 2025-26 academic year, admitting at least 300 students in the first year of the programme.

Mumbai University Courses 2025

The University of Mumbai (MU) has announced the launch of 20 undergraduate Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP) programmes from the academic session 2025-26. The Mumbai University AEDP programmes will be offered through the university's Garware Institute of Career Education and Development. The programme will also include the apprenticeship training in collaboration with the industry leaders.

The action comes after the Maharashtra government approved the execution of AEDP in all non-agricultural public universities and eligible institutions, in accordance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The earlier issued resolution by the Higher and Technical Education Department has directed that the universities will have to commence the AEDP programme from the academic session 2025-26 and to enrol a minimum of 300 students in the first year.

Courses Offered Under AEDP

Mumbai University is offering the following courses under AEDP 2025:
