Mumbai University

The University of Mumbai has released an important update for all students. MU has now made the APAAR ID completely mandatory. No student will get their exam hall ticket without the APAAR ID card. This strict new rule applies to all undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Mumbai University. The sudden announcement has created a huge rush across affiliated colleges and Mumbai University.

Why Did Mumbai University Make APAAR ID Compulsory?

The APAAR ID means the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry. The central government introduced this card under the National Education Policy. It acts as a digital ID card for students. The university wants to track academic records easily. This ID links all college marks and degrees in one safe digital place. From this semester, the system will not generate students' MU hall tickets 2026 if the APAAR ID field is blank.
