UGC directs HEIs to disseminate information about National Students Paryavaran Competition

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has directed higher education institutions to disseminate information about National Students Paryavaran Competition (NSPC). The NSPC will be organised by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Changes under the aegis of Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi. The NSPC will be held from July 1, 2023 to August 21, 2023. The objective of this program is to succeed in creating awareness amongst students to comprehend in depth the complexity of the looming dangers of uncontrolled climate devastation.

 
Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi (PSG), a nationwide organization is determined to take up the task of the conservation & protection of the environment. ln addition to addressing the root causes of climate change, PSG is also taking important actions to make people adapt to a changing climate. Schools, colleges and universities can register from July 1 to August 21, 2023. The quiz competition will be held from July 15, 2023, to August 21, 2023.
 
The main aim and objective of the program are: to create awareness amongst young minds to comprehend the in-depth complexity of the looming dangers of uncontrolled climate devastation, and to acquire knowledge on the job skills, competency & attitude to confront the environmental challenges & their mitigation and to encourage proactive & enthusiastic participation from the students to create "Green and safe planet." The UGC in its notification also invited the Vice Chancellors, Principals of the schools and Colleges to participate in this noble cause and become nationwide flag bearers.
