Amity University, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies and GLA University have been given approval to offer online courses.

UGC gives nod to three private universities to offer online, ODL learning from next academic year

University Grants Commission (UGC) has given nod to three private universities in the country to offer online courses, programmes for ODL learning from the next academic year. As per the official notification released by UGC, Amity University, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies and GLA University have been given approval to offer online courses.

"These three private universities have been granted recognition under the UGC (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020. Amity, Manav Rachna and GLA Universities have now been added to the list of eligible universities," the official notification stated.

Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies will offer a total of 5 courses. Amity University will offer a total of 6 courses and GLA University will offer a total of 2 courses. The details regarding these courses have been shared below:

Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies -

  • Bachelor of Computer Applications
  • Bachelor of Business Administration
  • Bachelor of Arts - Economics Hons
  • Bachelor of Commerce
  • Master of Commerce

Amity University:

  • Bachelor of Social Work
  • Bachelor of Commerce
  • Bachelor of Arts - Journalism and Mass Communication
  • Master of Arts - Public Policy and Governance
  • Master of Social Work
  • Master of Arts - English

GLA University 

  • Bachelor of Commerce - Hons
  • Bachelor of Business Administration

These three universities will be offering online programmes and courses for the Academic Session of 2022 to 2023 till 2025 to 26. The period of recognition for these universities will b valid till January 2026 only. For Amity University, the period of recognition will end in January 2027.
