UP: Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University's construction work to complete in 2022
The Uttar Pradesh government is all geared up to complete the construction work of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University in 2022.
The foundation stone of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University was laid on December 25, 2019, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Right now the building is under construction and following the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is all set to complete the construction of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University within the year 2022.
Through the establishment of this medical university, the government wants to provide better treatment to the patients and reduce the number of referral cases.
About Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University in UP
So far, the university has affiliated 58 MBBS, 25 MDMS, DM and MCh, 335 B.Sc Nursing, 86 Post Basic BSc Nursing, 43 MSc Nursing and 119 Paramedical courses from different medical colleges.
The government has allocated 50 acres of land in Chak Ganjaria in Lucknow for the university and the budget is more than INR 200 crore. There will be an administrative block on an area of 20 acres. The university also has a plan to provide accommodation for Vice Chancellors, doctors, officers, and other employees on the campus, as reported by eHealth.
"A grand auditorium will be set up inside the campus, in which 2,500 people can sit at a time," said Vice-Chancellor Dr AK Singh. The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University will provide Affiliation, Assessment, Admission, and Enrollment for all medical courses.
