NDA marking scheme is prescribed by UPSC. Candidates for correct answers are given 2.5 marks in Maths. 0.83 marks are deducted for wrong answers. Four marks are given for correct answers in GAT. 1.33 marks are deducted for wrong answers. Total marks allotted to the written exam are 900.
NDA exam is conducted twice a year. The exam written test and SSB interview. The test comprises Maths and GAT. The difficulty level of the NDA exam is usually moderate. Candidates can crack the exam with good preparation.
The questions that are asked in an NDA SSB interview are related to educational background, current affairs, hobbies, etc. The SSB Interview carries 900 marks. Candidates need to secure the qualifying marks in this test.
Questions in this section of NDA exam are asked from General Science, Indian history, Physics Geography, Chemistry and Current Events. Candidates must read the newspapers and watch news channels to know about the national and international events. Candidates must refer to the six months Current Affairs for NDA exam.

AFCAT marking scheme is prescribed by the examination authority. The marking scheme shows how many marks are deducted for wrong answers. This also shows how many marks are given for correct answers.
There are negative marks for wrong answers in NDA exam. 1/3 of the marks allotted to each question are deducted for the incorrect answer. There is no deduction in marks for unanswered questions.

Yes, solving NDA question papers is an important part of preparation. Solving the question papers helps candidates to assess their level of preparation for the exam. Candidates will also be able to find out their strengths and weakness and plan for the exam accordingly. Candidates must solve NDA question papers after completing the syllabus. They should fix a timetable for solving the question papers. Candidates at least one question paper regularly while preparing for NDA exam. NDA question paper is set in English and Hindi. Objective-type questions are asked in the exam. The GAT paper of NDA carries a total of 150 questions. The Maths comprises 120 questions.
NDA exam carries two papers-Maths and GAT of Class 10, 11 & 12 levels. The GAT paper is further divided into two parts-English and General Awareness. A total of 120 questions are asked in the Maths paper of NDA. Questions are usually asked from Algebra Matrices and Determinants Trigonometry Analytical Geometry Of Two and Three Dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, and Differential Equations Vector Algebra Statistics and Probability. In the GAT part of the NDA exam, a total of 150 questions are asked. This section is divided into parts. Part A comprises questions from English and Part B comprises questions from General Knowledge. In English questions are generally asked from Spotting Errors, Antonyms, Synonyms, Idioms, and Phrases and Fill in the Blanks. In General Knowledge, questions are asked from Physics Chemistry Biology Indian Polity, History, Geography, Economy, Defence Specific, Current Affairs & Static GK, etc.

Rank progression in the Indian Army has a clear and structured career path with opportunities for promotion based on the years of service. The rank progression depends on the following criteria.
- Time-Bound Promotions are done when they fulfil the required service tenure and meet the necessary criteria, such as performance, discipline, and fitness.
- Modified Assured Career Progression (MACP) Scheme: This was introduced to ensure that personnel who have not been promoted despite their years of service receive financial upgradation to the next pay grade.
- Automatic Promotion for Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) and Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs): Through this eligible person receive automatic promotions to higher pay scales after completion of a certain service period, subject to meeting the necessary criteria.
