KAS 2021 short notification was issued on January 8. Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) after a long time issued the KAS notification 2021 for 257 vacancies. KAS notification only issued the number of vacancies and the tentative dates for the application and the KAS preliminary exam. The candidates can start preparing for the KAS exam because as per the rule for the Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Exam for the KAS, the preliminary and main exam could be conducted within 15 days of the UPSC Civil Service Exam.

KAS Prelims exam 2021 will be conducted in the last week of June or in the first week of July. JKPSC will notify the exact dates after some time. The candidates can apply for the KAS 2021 exam in the third week of January. The JKPSC will issue a detail notification for the KAS Prelims 2021 exam and the eligibility criteria will be mentioned in the detail notification. But as per the rules, the KAS eligibility criteria are as follows.

KAS Eligibility criteria

Residential status

The candidates must be a permanent resident of the State. But this condition could be changed in the final notification because now, from October 2019, Jammu and Kashmir became the Union Territory.

KAS 2021–Age Limit

The candidates must attain the age of 21 years but not attained the age of 32 years of age on January 1 of the year of examination i.e. on January 1, 2021. The age relaxation is provided to the candidates of the following categories.

The person holding office in substantive capacity will be certified by the Head of Department of his department, where he or she will serve for at least two years.

KAS 2021-Educational Qualification

The educational qualification required for the KAS exam is a graduate in any discipline from a recognised Indian University or Foreign University. The degree of such foreign university is equivalent to the Bachelor’s degree as declared by the Government of India.
