Admission at Nagaland University is merit-based only. Admission to UG courses is based on the class 12th performance of the candidate and admission to PG courses is based on the performance or score in the previous qualifying exam.

St. Joseph University Dimapur admission is primarily merit-based. The university considers the qualifying exam scores of the candidates for admission.
