Hello Tirakala Venu, both AVIT and Kalasalingam are almost similarly placed. In the innovation ranking form is placed in the band of 51 to 100 while the latter is placed in the band of 11 to 50. Both these institutions boost of a good placement record.

Admission into AVIT is merit-oriented in most cases, except for BTech, for which the institute also takes into consideration scores in the VMRF-SMART entrance exam. Admissions into M.Tech and MBA do not call for an entrance exam since they are admitted on the basis of graduation marks. Candidates have to satisfy the minimum eligibility requirement for admission. Academic performance ensures fair selection.

Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology, Chennai also accepts admission on the basis of VMRF- SMART test for Engineering programmes. Candidates can scan the QR Code to apply online and pay the fee towards VMRF-SMART application through various payment mode, such as Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card (or) Paytm Wallet. VMRF-SMART will be conducted in two modes which are online mode and offline mode.
- Online mode: VMRF-SMART 2025-26 will be conducted in two modes
- Offline mode: Vinayaka Mission's Chennai campus and other designated test centres.

The total intake for ME/MTech programmes at AVIT Chennai is 108. All programmes are approved by AICTE. There are various specialisation available including Biotechnology, Computer Science and Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Power System Engineering etc.
For AVIT students who opt to pursue a postgraduate degree at AVIT, a 50% academic scholarship is available.

AVIT offers regular full-time postgraduate level courses in Engineering field. The duration for the courses is two- years and it is approved by AICTE. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a BTech degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying exams. GATE qualifyed candidates will be given preference.
