The AIE Sydney campus is located at Level 1, 33 Mountain Street, Ultimo, NSW 2007, in the heart of Sydney's games industry. 

The campus is situated in Ultimo, a suburb in the heart of Sydney's games industry, surrounded by established developers and independent studios. 

To take admission as an international applicant, an IELTS or TOEFL score has to be submitted. The minimum scores required in these tests are given below:

Academy of Interactive Entertainment application fee for international students is AUD 120 (Around INR 6,500). The applicants can apply online for admission to AIE. Documents required to apply are:

• Proof of student visa
• Proof of English language proficiency
• Art or Programming Portfolio
• Proof of High School Graduation, as required
• Application for admission
• 250-word essay

AIE Academic Excellence Award is offered to students on the basis of academic merit. It is a 2-year scholarship awarded to incoming first-year students. The documents required to be considered for the scholarship availability are:

• Completed high school or current-in-progress if current senior
• Resume
• Three letters of recommendation
• Resume
• A written statement on How will you be better positioned for industry based on your academic or community achievements as well as the degree/certificate you are interested in pursuing here at AIE?

As a part of entry into the AIE course, as applicable, the authority will conduct an interview with a teacher to assess the students' suitability to the course including any specific requirements that a student may have. During the interview, students are going to look at the portfolio to see what knowledge and skills students are bringing to the course.

As a general entry requirement, the applicants at AIE must be 18 years of age. To take admission to this course, the applicants are required to have one of the following:

• A Bachelor's of Game Development major in Game Art or Game Design or Game Programming OR
• Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media OR
• Advanced Diploma of Professional Game Development

An English language proficiency score must also be submitted. For the same purpose, an IELTS score of 6.0 is required.

The entry into AIE Advanced Diploma of Filmmaking course is based on an interview to evaluate the students' suitability to the course. Students should have either completed Year 12 or achieved an Exit Level 3 score within the Australian Core Skills Framework Assessments in reading and numeracy. Also, international applicants are required to submit an IELTS score of 6.0.
