Yes, it is possible to apply for Ph.D. after distance MBA but if you are aiming to a doctoral course, you must pursue your MBA from a UGC-accredited university or college.

Yes, you can apply for subjects other than your Masters. UGC NET JRF examination is conducted in two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is General Paper for all disciplines whereas Paper 2 is explicitly designed on the subjects you choose while filling up the examination form.
