Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) offers degree and Diploma courses to candidates at UG, PG, and Ph.D. level. Courses offered are in the streams of Humanities & Social Sciences, IT & Software, Accounting & Commerce, Science, Business & Management Studies, Law, Teaching & Education, Arts (Fine/ Visual/ Performing), Engineering, Medicine & Health Sciences, and Mass Communication & Media. UG: Aspirants are eligible for UG course admissions if they have cleared 10+2 from a recognised board with the minimum prescribed percentage. PG: Aspirants are eligible for PG course admissions if they possess a graduation degree from a recognised university in the relevant field with the minimum prescribed percentage as per the individual course. Note: Aspirants are advised to go through the eligibility criteria as mentioned by HPU for the course in which they wish to secure admission. Himachal Pradesh University conducts entrance exams to provide admission to candidates in different UG and PG courses offered by it.
1. For M.A. M.Sc. M.A. B.Sc. Nursing, B.Ed M.Ed B.A. MS BHMS DM (Cardiology), M.Ch. (CTVS) Super Speciality Courses, B Tech, MCA Law, and M. C. course, the university conducts its own entrance exam. The university also accepts MAT scores for admission in M.A. CEEB scores for admissions in M.Sc. Biotechnology and NEET/ AIPMT scores for admission in MBBS/ BDS courses.
2. For certificates and Diploma courses, admission is offered on the basis of merit followed by an interview round. Himachal Pradesh University Application Process for UG & PG Courses
Candidates can apply at HPU in the online as well as offline mode depending on the course they are applying for. For online applications, candidates can fill the form on the official website of the university. For offline applications, candidates can download the form from the official website of the university and submit it (duly-filled) at the address prescribed by the varsity. Application fee for Diploma courses: Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC/ ST/ Antyodya/ IRDP candidates).
