Hello,
No, it is not true. B.Com honours has a very wide syllabus. It has everything from Economics, Accountancy to Business Studies.
Yes, the major focus is 'accountancy'. It will have a lot of portion.
But it is incorrect to say that "It is basically doing honours in accounts only".

Yes, there are chances of getting B.Com shift 1. You can try to get admission for B.Com. It will have more opportunities ahead in future after doing B.Com, so your daughter can get a good job.

Dear, if you are from General category, then the first cut-off will be more than 92% in intermediate. And also, if you are from reserved category, then first cut-off may 68 % for SC, ST and 75% for OBC.
