No, it is not as these are the basics which you are not going to learn again in life and this is the time that matters. In fact when you sit for campus placements they are going to talk about it. So try and make sure you make the most out of it.

For an internship, students need to apply on their own. For that, I suggest you to check for vacancy posts on LinkedIn and website of firms. Also, check the notice board of the institute as firms also post for vacancy there too.

There are many options for courses which you can pursue along with B.Com such as CA/CWA/CS and few certification courses in SAP. You can also pursue other Erp packages/Share Market/excel courses.
But before you go for any one of the above, I recommend you to check with your college whether they will permit you to pursue the course or not.
