While you may have keen interest in finance and portfolio management, you need to ensure that you have essential skills like networking, negotiation, inter personal, etc. for this work whereas CA will get you work for your diligence and expertise in managing accounts. MBA employability factor at present is very low so check with your college before joining.

If you have failed in your 1st semester exams then don't worry, start studying for it again along with second semester exam and clear it.

Kindly, visit their website and eligibility criteria. As your 12th combination of subjects will not be retained in your proposed study, you may have to face disadvantage of 2.5% or more from the percentage obtained in 12th and have to face the competition for ranking for selection.

A layman can also do PG i.e. M.Com or others as an additional course. Also, don't pursue MBA by taking direct admision it. Make sure that you appear for a national level entrance test and then take admission in a good college.
