B.Com honors is an undergraduate degree designed to inculcate business acumen in students. You can also pursue courses like chartered accountancy along with your B.Com honors.

What is Auditing?
Auditing is an official verification and examination of accounts and records, like financial accounts of a company or organization. Professional, who performs audits in various companies and other places are termed as auditors.
The word audit has been derived from a Latin word audire, it means to hear. In medieval times, auditors used to hear the accounts and check them that the company or organizations were not careless or deceitful.
What is Taxation?
Taxation is a process of government for collecting money from its citizens to pay for public services, for example: public parks, libraries, etc.
Types of taxes:
1. Direct Tax: Those taxes, which are directly paid to the government through the taxpayer. For example: corporation tax, income tax, etc.
2. Indirect Tax: Those taxes, which are paid to the government by an intermediary. These types of taxes are applied on sale of goods and services. For example: service tax, sales tax, etc.

Below mentioned is the eligibility criteria for CS:
1. After completing class 12th, you are eligible to take the foundation course. Examination can be taken twice a year, in June and December. Candidates who pass the foundation examination are eligible to seek registration as students to the Company Secretaryship course.
The course completes after a preliminary, intermediate and final examination.
2. Final examination can be taken after 18 months of enrolling in the course and having undergone satisfactory postal or oral tuition for the particular group of final examination. Enrolment is open throughout the year. For appearing in the June examination, enrollment is on up to September and for appearing in December examination, enrollment is completed by March.
Practical experience ranging from two to three years or management training for 15 months and four months practical training in a company, which is arranged by the institute is also required.
3. After qualifying in the final examination and undergoing practical training, a candidate is eligible to be admitted as an associate member. Senior associate members may be entitled to become fellows.
Admission is open to anyone, who has pass the graduate examination of a university in India or any other equivalent qualification or those who have taken the foundation examination.
