Eligibility for appearing Civil Service Prilims Examination is Pass in Graduation in any stream. So Dont bothered about it. Take your favourite subject at Graduate Level. And Start prepartion for Preliminary exam now. Systematic studies will help you to clear Prelims.
As per new syllabus , Indian History, World History , Indian Constiution/ Leagal System, Imporatnt years of India, Currunt Affairs, Envoronnmental studies, Genral Knowledge, Basic English and Logics are the subjects of Preliminary Examination.
It is objective type of examination of 3 Hours Duartion. Negative Mark system is there.
If you pass the prelims, you can specialize in a subject. You have full freedom to select any subject from given subjects. Suppose you are a B Com graduate having interest in History, you can chose history as your elective subject. This is subjective examination and Essay writing also there.
The Final Stage is Personal Interview with Board Exicutives, you have option to attend interview in your regional language now. If interviewers are satisfied, you can give option / preferred services like IAS, IPS,IFS etc.
You will get as per your rank and interview performance.
