ANGRAU inducts students to its MSc courses based on two major parameters. i.e. entrance test scores and performance in the UG exams. The university accepts the ICAR AIEEA PG exam for MTech admissions. Moreover, the weight assigned to each parameter is as follows:
- AIEEA scores: 70%
- Academic Background: 30%
This implies that greater weightage is given to the AIEEA marks. Thus, students with higher scores in the entrance exam may have better chances of admission.

The ANGRAU MTech admissions are entrance based. Thus, candidates aspiring to take admission must first take the ICAR AIEEA exam. Other than this, candidates must have completed a four-year UG programme in the Agricultural field.

Admission to ANGRAU MTech courses is offered to students based on marks obtained in the accepted entrance exam. Students who wish to take admission must have appeared for the ICAR AIEEA PG exam. This is a national-level test conducted by National Test Agency. Based on the AIEEA scores, students are shortlisted for further admissions. Moreover, during the final selection, these exam scores are given around 70% weightage. The better the score, the more the chances of getting admission.
