No, in order to get admission to the ANGRAU MSc course, candidates must have appeared for the ICAR AIEEA PG exam. It is a national-level test conducted by NTA. Admissions are purely entry-based. Based on the AIEEA scores, students are shortlisted for further admission process. Moreover, during the final selection, these exam scores are given around 60% weightage. The better the score, the more the chances of getting admission.

ANGRAU selection process for MSc admissions comprises of two major parameters. i.e. entrance test scores and performance in the UG exams. The university accepts the ICAR All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA). Moreover, the weightae assigned to each parameter is as follows:
- AIEEA scores: 70%
- Academic Background: 30%
This implies that while making the selection for the MSc programme, more weightage is given to the AIEEA marks. Thus, students with higher scores in the entrance exam may have better chances of admission.
