It is very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your graduation in engineering, after doing your graduation in AME almost 13 years ago. Your intentions are very good but a word of caution. Recently UGC has reminded all universities from offering any professional course including engineering by way of distance education. Hence, my sincere advice is not to proceed in this direction and think of studying in some other subject.
Best wishes to you.

The last time an Indian became an astronaut, he was test pilot from IAF. This time too, for Gaganyan, it is expected that test pilots if IAF would be selected by ISRO to become astronauts to be launched from Indian soil. But yes, in US, Aeronautical Engineers have become astronauts though it's not mandatory. Best wishes to you.

It is quite interesting query. You will get as many opinions as the experts you ask. At least presently in India, there are hardly any opportunities for placements in core areas. As per one report, majority of students use the graduation to pursue MBA or PG. Very few get placed. However it is expected that in the years to come it is expected that opportunities are bound to increase. Best wishes to you.
