Agriculture Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for admission to BSc Agriculture Colleges are mentioned below:

• Candidates must have completed Class 10+2 in Science Stream with Physics,  Chemistry,  Maths/Physics,8 from a recognised board.
• Candidates must have scored at least 50% in Class 10+2 to be considered eligible by most Agriculture Colleges in Tamil Nadu.

To be eligible for admission to agriculture colleges in Gujarat, you must meet the following criteria:

1. For BA course:
   * You must have passed 10+2 from Gujarat Higher Secondary Education Board or an examination of any other statutory examination of any other University or examination body recognised as equivalent thereto.
2. For BSc course:
   * You must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised school/board.
3. For After 10th Diploma course at Polytechnic in Agriculture- Vyara, Navsari Agricultural University:
   * You must have passed in class 10th from Gujarat State or other equivalent examination.
   * You must have scored the mentioned aggregate in the mandatory subjects Gujarati, Social Science/Social Studies, Science and Technology / Science, Mathematics and English.
4. For After 10th Diploma course at College of Agriculture- Bharuch, Navsari Agricultural University:
   * You must have passed in class 10th from Gujarat State or other equivalent examination.
   * You must have scored the mentioned aggregate in the mandatory subjects Gujarati, Social Science/Social Studies, Science and Technology / Science, Mathematics and English.

There are about 7 Agriculture colleges in Pune that provide courses full time and in online mode of study and all colleges are owned by the Private sector. Learning about the practises and techniques used in farming and crop production is the focus of the agricultural course. Studying agricultural courses will boost the likelihood of growing superior crop varieties with higher yields and shorter growing times.  The popular colleges are mentioned below:

Students can pursue a course in Agriculture at both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) levels. Given below are generic eligibility criteria for Agricultural courses offered at both levels. It may be noted that the eligibility criteria mentioned below might vary depending on the course and specialisation/branch chosen by a candidate.

UG level: Candidates should pass Class 12 in the Science stream with at least 45%-50% aggregate marks. (Check for Class 12 Physics NCERT Solutions)

PG level: Candidates should obtain a bachelor’s degree with at least 45%-50% aggregate marks.

Note: In the absence of an official update, merit-based eligibility has been mentioned for all the courses and may vary.

To be eligible for B.Sc. programs at G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Completion of 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks in the relevant subject from a recognised board (as per Shiksha).
• Successful completion of 10+2 with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English as mandatory subjects.
• Meeting the minimum mark requirement of 50% for the unreserved category (as per Pantnagar University Admission).
• For B.Sc. in Agriculture Economics, a B.Sc. or B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture, Fisheries, or Forestry is required (as per the official website of G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology).
