UAS Dharwad offers admissions at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. B.Sc Agriculture Hons., M.Sc Agricultural Economics, Master of Home Science in Human Development and Family Studies, M.B.A. Agribusiness Management, Ph.D Agricultural Entomology etc. are some of the courses offered by the university. UAS Dharwad admissions to undergraduate courses are offered on the basis of merit of the qualifying examination or by the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority or by ICAR. UAS Dharwad admissions to postgraduate courses is based on merit of the qualifying examination and a written test with 50% weightage to each. UAS Dharwad admissions are only offered to those students who have appeared in the counselling round, got their documents verified and paid the admission fees.

Providing a major relief to Lacs of students who depend on distant learning, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted recognition to Karnataka State Open University (KSOU). The UGC had issued a public notice dated 16.6.2015 informing the students not to seek admissions in KSOU since it is de-recognised with retrospective effect from the academic year 2013-2014. In an official note issued by UGCs Distance Education Bureau yesterday, the KSOU has been granted permission to run courses from the 2018-2019 to 2022-2023 academic year. The move comes after there were several deliberations that KSOU officials had with the UGC authorities earlier this week. However, the UGC order does not speak about the recognition to courses that were offered in the past and where students are struggling to get their marks card validated. What is still a matter of concern is the fate of old students who had enrolled in courses with KSOU. Hope it helps.

Candidate having a compartment/supplementary in any of the subjects will not be eligible unless proof of having cleared the examination with requisite percentage as above is available.
